Genworth recently completed their annual cost of care survey for 2013 in Texas. Unfortunately the cost of care keeps going up in Texas.
In the Houston area,
- Homemaker services average an annual cost of $45,188 per year and have grown at a 2% annual rate;
- Home Health Aide services average an annual cost of $46,332 per year and also have grown at a 2% annual rate;
- A private one bedroom apartment in a Houston assisted living facility has an annual average cost of $39,510 and has grown at a 7% annual rate;
- A Semi-Private Room in a Houston nursing home has an annual average cost of $52,925 and has grown at a 4% annual rate.
In the Dallas area:
- Homemaker services average an annual cost of $42,328 per year and have grown at a 2% annual rate;
- Home Health Aide services average an annual cost of $43,426 per year and also have grown at a 2% annual rate;
- A private one bedroom apartment in a Dallas assisted living facility has an annual average cost of $47,400 and has grown at a 9% annual rate;
- A Semi-Private Room in a Dallas nursing home has an annual average cost of $54,020 and has grown at a 3% annual rate.
In the San Antonio area:
- Homemaker services average an annual cost of $38,896 per year and have grown at a 1% annual rate;
- Home Health Aide services average an annual cost of $38,896 per year and also have grown at a 1% annual rate;
- A private one bedroom apartment in a San Antonio assisted living facility has an annual average cost of $44,520 and has grown at a 4% annual rate;
- A Semi-Private Room in a San Antonio nursing home has an annual average cost of $46,808 and has grown at a 0% annual rate.
